East London’s Fine Print announces their self-titled debut EP on B3SCI Records to be released on August 28th. Bonded over a love of J Dilla and Shuggie Otis, the duo began creating music with the desire to blend the underground electronic music they grew up with and the old school pop song format. In late 2014, they shared two demos “About You” and “Can’t Lie” with much anticipation.
Both demos were met with an enthusiastic response including Zane Lowe’s Next Hype and NPR’s Heavy Rotation List features for “Can’t Lie” and support from Annie Mac for “About You” — eventually grabbing the attention of producer Dan Carey (Tame Impala, Hot Chip), who stepped up to mix the EP.
The Fine Print EP will be released digitally and as a limited edition white 10” vinyl on August 28th through B3SCI Records.
The sophomore album from former session musician Imraan Paleker highlights his modern soul, alt-rock, jazz, and electronic sensibilities. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 16, 2020
